Kauri Built
Black and tan minimalism with full bleed project photography.
Architectural builders are chosen by clients who already have plans and often by the architect alongside them. That audience is not looking for a builder who can do anything, they are checking whether this one can execute a specific level of detail.
This is the one construction brief where restraint is correct. The audience reads design fluently, so a busy page with orange call to action bars would immediately place the company in the volume building bracket it is trying to sit above.
Design decisions
- 01
The practice page carries as much weight as the work
How the company builds, who it works with, how it handles a difficult detail. For this client the method is the differentiator, not the photograph.
- 02
Photography runs full bleed with no captions on it
Labels laid over architectural photography read as a brochure. The image is allowed to be the whole section.
- 03
One typographic reveal, then nothing
A single restrained moment of movement at the top. More would turn a considered practice into a showreel, which is the wrong signal entirely.
What is built into it
- Cinematic hero
- Full-bleed gallery
- Practice page
- Enquiry form
Kauri Built is a design study. The business, its address and its reviews are invented so we can show a finished website instead of a flat mockup. Nothing on this page describes a real client of VinaPage.
