Southern Cross Builders
Navy and safety orange. Solid, plain, projects first.
A new build is the largest purchase most people ever make, handed to a company they met three weeks ago. Builder websites answer that with photographs of finished houses, which every builder has, and almost nothing about whether the company will still be there in eighteen months.
Reassurance is the entire job. Anything that looks expensively designed works against a builder, because a client is quietly wondering who paid for it. The page is built to look competent rather than creative.
Design decisions
- 01
The numbers arrive before the sales copy
Years trading, homes completed, guarantee. A client comparing three builders is comparing risk, and risk is answered with figures rather than with adjectives.
- 02
Projects come before services
Nobody hires a builder from a list of the things builders do. They hire from finished work that looks like the house they are imagining.
- 03
The quote form asks what stage the project is at
Land only, plans drawn, consent granted. It costs the client one tap and it tells the builder whether this is a conversation for this month or next year.
What is built into it
- Facts strip
- Stacked project showcase
- Stage-aware quote form
- Services page
Southern Cross Builders is a design study. The business, its address and its reviews are invented so we can show a finished website instead of a flat mockup. Nothing on this page describes a real client of VinaPage.
