Velvet Hour
Moody candle-lit luxury with slow fades between sections.
An evening massage lounge is open when every other salon is closed, and that is the entire proposition. Most sites hide opening hours in a footer, so the one thing that makes the business different never gets said.
Booking a massage at nine in the evening is a decision made tired, on a phone, in a dim room. Bright white surfaces and quick snappy transitions fight that mood. The page is dark and moves slowly on purpose.
Design decisions
- 01
Late hours are stated in the first screen
Not in the footer, not on a contact page. It is the reason to choose this place over the one closer to home.
- 02
The booking flow is deliberately unhurried
Fewer choices per screen, larger targets, softer transitions. Urgency devices belong on a checkout, not on something a person is buying in order to calm down.
- 03
Photography stays dark rather than being brightened
The instinct is to lift the exposure so the room reads clearly. That produces a room nobody will actually walk into at night.
What is built into it
- Candlelight treatment
- Slow section fades
- Membership page
- Booking form
Velvet Hour is a design study. The business, its address and its reviews are invented so we can show a finished website instead of a flat mockup. Nothing on this page describes a real client of VinaPage.
