Green Bowl
Fresh greens and rounded shapes built around ordering ahead.
Vegan fast casual is not competing with other vegan places. It is competing with every lunch option within a five minute walk, and it loses that fight on ordering speed far more often than on food.
The customer has a fixed lunch hour. Anything that adds thirty seconds to the order is a real cost to them, so the interface is shaped around getting to a confirmed order rather than around browsing.
Design decisions
- 01
Order ahead is the primary action on the page
Not a link in the navigation. Pick up at a set time is the entire reason someone chooses this over the queue at the counter.
- 02
Ingredients are listed in full on every bowl
People eat here because of what they cannot or will not eat. Hiding the ingredient list behind a tap forces a decision they are unwilling to guess at.
- 03
Rounded shapes throughout, no sharp edges
One consistent shape language rather than mixing pills and square cards. It is a small thing that makes a fast interface feel calm.
What is built into it
- Order ahead flow
- Full ingredient lists
- Photo menu
- Pickup time picker
Green Bowl is a design study. The business, its address and its reviews are invented so we can show a finished website instead of a flat mockup. Nothing on this page describes a real client of VinaPage.
