Nelson, 2,050 sun hours a year, the most in New Zealand

Every hour ofthat sun ismoney on the roof.

Keep scrolling and watch the light move across a day. A 6.6kW system on a Nelson roof makes about 8,800 units a year, twenty metres above your kitchen, for twenty five years.

890 systems installed, 12 years, two crews, our own sparky

One roof, one day

Sixteen panels, on by four o’clock

Scroll and they go on in the order our crew actually fits them, north face first. Scaffolding goes up the day before, power is off for about ninety minutes, and you are generating before we drive away.

4 / 16 PANELS1.6 kW
  1. 07:30, rails

    Brackets into rafters, not battens

We scan for every rafter before a single hole goes in, and each bracket is flashed and sealed. This is the part that leaks in ten years if someone rushes it, so it takes two hours and we do not apologise for that.

  2. 10:00, panels

    North face fills first

North earns more across a year, so it gets the panels before west does. If your roof only runs east and west we will tell you what that costs you, usually about fifteen percent, before you sign anything.

  3. 13:00, inverter

On the shaded wall, never the sunny one

Inverters run hot and heat kills them. Ours go on the south wall or inside the garage, wired back to your board by our own registered electrician rather than a subcontractor we met that morning.

  4. 15:30, switch on

    Generating before the van leaves

Certificate of compliance, monitoring app on your phone, and we sit with you until you can read it. The export meter application goes to your retailer the same afternoon.

The bit that matters

What people ended up paying

Three real jobs, three different answers. We put the system size and whether they took a battery next to each one, because a testimonial without those numbers tells you nothing.

6.6 kW, no battery

Bill went from $310 a month to $84. Took four years and a bit to pay itself off, exactly what the quote said.
Dave and Ngaire, Richmond

5.2 kW, talked out of a battery

They talked us out of the battery on the first visit and said come back in two years. Nobody else did that.
Hemi T., Motueka

9.9 kW, with battery

Panel stopped reporting after a storm. Replaced under warranty in nine days, and they chased the manufacturer, not me.
Sarah L., Stoke

Find out what your roof would actually do

Forty minutes on site, a shading study across a full year, a look at your last twelve bills, and a fixed quote emailed in three days. No charge, and nobody sitting at your kitchen table at 7pm.
