The studio
The room itself
We kept it small on purpose. Four chairs, good light and better conversation, with our bookings spaced so nobody is rushed out the door.
Made to feel familiar
There is always a cup of something going, and time to talk through what you are after before we start. That is the whole point of keeping the book on the smaller side.
Four chairs, never more
So it never feels like a factory floor.
The kettle is always on
Coffee, tea and somewhere comfy to wait.
Right in town
14 Wharf Street, with easy two-hour parking.
A little about the two of us
We met behind neighbouring chairs at a salon that has since closed, and decided we’d rather do it our own way. Hazel takes the lashes and brows, Willow takes the nails, and between us we’ve looked after most of the street.
Hazel Tairua
Lashes and brows
Fifteen years behind the chair and still greets every regular by name. Trained in Auckland, came home to open a room of her own. Ask her for a brow map before you commit to anything.
Willow Marsh
Nails
Trained in Melbourne, obsessive about clean lines and cuticle work. She will talk you out of anything that will not last, and into a shape that suits your hands. The precise one, proud of it.
If it’s your first time
Never had lashes or a lamination before? Here is exactly how the first one goes, start to finish.
Tell us what you are after
Book online or send a text. Not sure what you need? Say so, and we will steer you to the right service.
Patch test first
For a first lash treatment or any tint, a quick dab behind the ear 24 hours ahead, so there are no surprises on the day.
Settle in
Coffee or tea, a comfortable chair and no rush. Most first visits run a little long, on purpose.
Leave with a plan
Aftercare notes, a rough rebooking window, and your next spot held if you want it.
Come and let us look after you.
Send a note and Hazel or Willow will text you back today with a time that suits.
